DTG printing

Direct digital printing, also known as DTG , is a breakthrough technology that emerged in the late 90s. Following in the footsteps of regular home printers, DTG printers print graphics directly onto garments instead of paper .

This technique requires little or no preparation (on light textiles): the images are recreated by a print head which projects thousands of tiny drops of ink onto the fabric. The visual aspect and the touch are without relief , because the ink will penetrate directly into the fibers of the garment

What does DTG mean?

DTG is the abbreviation of Direct To Garment and means in French “directly on the garment”. Indeed, the ink is injected into the fibers of the textile.

Digital printing is one of the most ecological techniques. It enables low power consumption and minimal ink waste. Digital textile printing uses special water-based inks, which are absorbed by the fibers of the garment. These inks are environmentally friendly (OEKO-TEX, ECO PASSPORT certified). And are therefore non-toxic , non-hazardous even for children and 100% biodegradable.

Print-on-demand constraints

All products are printed by humans. We place your products on mobile trays, manually. We ensure that these are always placed the same way, but there may be slight variations in placement between 2 products.

Color differences:

It may happen that the colors on the printed article do not have the same rendering as on the screen.

• In order to print a raster image (PNG, JPG, etc.), we convert the RGB color coding to CMYK. This can lead to color alterations.
• Each screen displays colors in its own way. Depending on your configuration (contrast, brightness, intensity), the colors can change considerably.
• The color of the textile influences the final rendering of the print.
